Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I hired Brenda McClearn to represent my small medical practice in a malpractice claim. Her three decades of experience defending professionals were immediately apparent; she was thorough in her analysis of the case and her knowledge of Colorado state court procedures was solid. It's clear why she's recognized in this practice area. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While the legal strategy was sound, there were often significant delays in receiving responses to emails or updates, which added to my stress. At times, I felt I had to follow up multiple times to get clarity on next steps or billing questions. The outcome of my case was acceptable, but the process felt more cumbersome than I anticipated. She is undoubtedly a skilled attorney, but the client communication and management aspects of her service were just adequate.
