Competent in complex matters, but communication could improve

Dr. Boerger and his team at Knauer Partnerschaft were engaged to advise our company during a sensitive internal investigation with potential criminal tax implications. His recognized expertise in commercial criminal law was evident; he quickly grasped the international dimensions of our case and provided a solid, strategic defense framework. However, our experience was mixed. While the legal analysis was thorough, we sometimes experienced significant delays in receiving updates and found his communication style to be somewhat opaque, requiring us to proactively seek clarification. For the high-stakes nature of our situation and his acknowledged recognition in criminal defense and tax practice, we expected a more responsive and transparent client service approach. The work product was professionally competent, but the overall management of our expectations fell short.
