Competent on banking matters, but communication could improve

I engaged Becky M. López-Freytes for guidance on a commercial loan restructuring for my small business. Her background in Banking and Finance Law was evident, and she clearly understood the regulatory complexities, especially given her work in both Chicago and Puerto Rico. The final documents were thorough. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. Response times to emails were slower than I expected, sometimes taking several days, which added to my stress during negotiations. While I have no doubt about her technical expertise and recognition in her field, the client service aspect felt just adequate. She is a capable attorney, but managing client expectations more proactively would elevate the experience.
