Experienced and capable, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Barry Levy to handle my personal injury case after a significant car accident in Cincinnati. With his 49 years of experience and his recent recognition as Lawyer of the Year in this field, I felt confident in his legal expertise. His deep knowledge of Ohio law and the procedural aspects of my case was evident from our initial meetings. He clearly knows the local courts and insurance companies inside and out. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal strategy was sound and we achieved a settlement, the day-to-day communication was frustrating. There were often long wait times for return calls or email updates, and I sometimes felt I had to initiate contact to get status reports. For a firm of this reputation, I expected more proactive client management. Mr. Levy is undoubtedly a skilled attorney, as his "AV Rating" and long tenure at O'Connor, Acciani & Levy attest, but the client service aspect felt just adequate. He secured a fair outcome, but the process required more patience on my end than I anticipated.
