Competent in complex matters, but communication could improve

I engaged Anthony Fiotto at Morrison Foerster for a commercial lease dispute that was heading toward arbitration. His background in both real estate litigation and arbitration was a key factor in my decision, and his nine years of experience were evident in his strategic approach to the case. The outcome was ultimately favorable, which I appreciate. However, my experience was mixed. While Tony is clearly knowledgeable, there were periods where communication was slower than I expected, making it difficult to stay fully informed on case developments. At times, I felt like I had to follow up to get updates. For straightforward matters, his expertise is solid, but if you require frequent, proactive communication, you may need to set very clear expectations from the outset. He handled the legal complexities well, but the client management aspect felt just adequate.
