Bio

Tony Barlow is a trusted commercial real estate and business law attorney based in Cincinnati, serving clients across Ohio and Kentucky. As chair of Strauss Troy’s Real Estate and Finance Department, he advises private and public sector clients on real estate development, commercial leasing, business planning, and complex finance transactions. His real estate work spans mixed-use, retail, office, and residential projects; multi-family housing; 1031 like-kind exchanges; title matters; and commercial and residential condominium development. Tony represents both landlords and tenants in office, retail, and industrial leases and guides clients through real estate-related entity formation and strategic business operations. With a background representing both lenders and borrowers, Tony’s finance experience includes traditional mortgage lending as well as tax credit and bond financing, Tax Increment Financing (TIF), tax abatement projects, and investor-backed structures. His early work focused on lender-side representation through all stages of loan origination, foreclosure, and workouts. Today, his focus is primarily on the borrower/developer side. Drawing from his past ownership of multiple restaurant businesses, Tony brings real-world perspective to his legal counsel—delivering bottom-line-oriented advice that reflects both legal acumen and firsthand business experience.
