Competent on the M&A deal, but communication was inconsistent

Ann Balzer at Perkins Coie handled the asset purchase for my small manufacturing business. Her technical knowledge of M&A law was evident, and it was reassuring to know she's recognized by Best Lawyers in that area. The contract work was solid. However, as a newer attorney with three years of experience, the process felt less streamlined than I expected. There were periods where I waited several days for email responses during critical phases, which added to my stress. For straightforward business organization matters, she is certainly capable. For more complex transactions, you might want to confirm communication protocols upfront. She got the job done competently, but the client experience could be smoother.
