A competent corporate lawyer, but communication could improve

Andrew McCune at Holland & Knight handled a complex corporate restructuring for my small tech firm. His deep experience in leveraged buyouts and private equity law was evident, and his recognition by Best Lawyers is well-deserved. He provided sound, strategic advice on the financial mechanics. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While his expertise in corporate law is solid, his responsiveness was inconsistent. There were several instances where I had to follow up multiple times on time-sensitive documents, and explanations of certain legal processes felt rushed. For a straightforward matter, his 16 years of experience make him a safe choice, but be prepared to manage the communication flow actively. He is undoubtedly knowledgeable, but the client service aspect felt just adequate for the premium rate.
