Jason Morgan
We engaged Andrew Detherage and his team at Barnes & Thornburg for a complex insurance coverage dispute that had significant financial implications for our business. His reputation as a Lawyer of the Year in Insurance Law was a key factor in our selection, and his 35 years of experience were evident in his strategic approach. The legal work itself was solid, and we achieved a satisfactory resolution. However, for a partner of his stature, we expected more direct communication. Updates often came through junior associates, and responses to our emails sometimes took longer than we'd hoped. While we have no doubt about his expertise in general practice and litigation, the client service experience felt more transactional than collaborative. He is undoubtedly a skilled attorney, but managing client expectations proactively could elevate his service.
