Competent corporate guidance, but communication could improve

I engaged Andrew Milne at McMillan Metro Faerber to assist with the formation and initial structuring of my small technology consulting firm in Potomac. His background from Washington and Lee and his recognition in Corporate Law by Best Lawyers were certainly factors in my choice. He demonstrated clear competence in drafting the foundational documents, and his advice on liability protection was sound. The work product was thorough. However, my experience was mixed on the service side. There were several instances where responses to my emails took longer than I expected, leaving me in the dark on minor but time-sensitive questions. While I never doubted his legal expertise, the flow of information felt more reactive than proactive. For straightforward corporate matters, he knows his stuff and will get the job done correctly. Just be prepared to manage your own expectations regarding communication timelines and follow-up. He is a capable attorney, but the client service aspect didn't quite match the level of his recognized legal skill.
