Adequate handling of a complex tax litigation matter

I engaged Mr. Weinstein for a complex tax controversy involving an IRS audit of my business. His deep expertise in tax litigation, underscored by his Lawyer of the Year recognition, was evident in his strategic approach. He clearly understood the nuances of the case. However, the experience was mixed. While his legal analysis was sound, communication was sometimes delayed, with responses taking longer than expected. Given his vast 56-year career and stature at Holland & Knight, I anticipated more direct involvement, but much of the day-to-day work was handled by associates. The outcome was satisfactory, but the process felt less personal than I had hoped for given his distinguished profile.
