A competent attorney with deep expertise, but communication could improve

I hired Mr. Slutkin after a significant surgical error left my family member with lasting complications. His reputation in medical malpractice, including his Lawyer of the Year recognition, was a primary reason for our choice. His 30+ years of experience were evident; he understood the complex medical issues immediately and built a technically sound case. Ultimately, we reached a settlement. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. While his legal strategy was solid, we often experienced long wait times for callbacks and updates. At times, it felt like we were just another file, despite the catastrophic nature of our situation. He is undoubtedly a skilled Baltimore litigator for catastrophic injury, but managing client expectations and maintaining consistent communication are areas where the experience fell short of the high legal standard he sets.
