Knowledgeable but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Andréane Giguère of Norton Rose Fulbright to advise on a complex non-compete agreement and subsequent termination issues for a senior employee in our Portland office. Her recognized expertise in Labour and Employment Law was evident; she provided a thorough analysis of the contractual risks and state-specific regulations. Her background handling U.S. employment matters gave me confidence in her counsel. However, the experience was mixed. While the final work product was solid, there were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, and updates on case progress weren't always proactive. For a firm of this caliber, I anticipated a slightly more streamlined client experience. Ms. Giguère is clearly competent, as her 2024 recognition attests, and she resolved our matter adequately. The outcome was legally sound, but the process itself felt somewhat transactional at times, lacking the consistent personal touch I hoped for given the sensitive nature of employment disputes.
