Competent on ERISA matters, but communication could improve

Andrea Rattner at Proskauer Rose handled a complex ERISA compliance review for our company's executive compensation plan. Her deep knowledge of the tax implications and regulatory framework was evident, and her recognition in Employee Benefits and Tax Law is well-deserved. The legal work product itself was thorough and precise. However, the experience was somewhat mixed on the service side. There were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, and updates on the matter's progress were not always proactively communicated. While we felt confident in her technical expertise, the overall client management felt a bit transactional. For straightforward, high-stakes ERISA and tax-related legal analysis, she is certainly capable, but you may need to manage expectations around responsiveness.
