Competent maritime lawyer, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Mr. Mouledoux to handle a dispute involving cargo damage on a barge operating on the Mississippi River. His knowledge of Admiralty and Maritime Law was evident, and his firm's reputation in this niche area is well-known. He was able to cite relevant statutes and precedents confidently, which was reassuring. The outcome of my case was ultimately satisfactory, aligning with the solid result you'd expect from an attorney recognized by the New Orleans Bar Association. However, the experience had some notable frustrations. There were periods where communication was sparse, and responses to emails could take several days, leaving me feeling somewhat in the dark. While his legal analysis was sharp, managing client expectations regarding timelines and process could be improved. For straightforward maritime matters where you need competent legal grounding, he is a capable choice, but be prepared to follow up proactively if you value frequent updates.
