Competent handling of a business contract dispute

I hired Amy Howard at Hone Law to assist my small business with a contract dispute that was escalating with a vendor. Her background in commercial litigation was evident; she understood the legal nuances quickly and her analysis of our position was sharp. The recognition she's received in that field seems well-founded. The case was resolved with a satisfactory settlement, which was our primary goal. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. Communication was professional but not always proactive; I sometimes had to follow up for updates, and response times to emails could be a few days. While the legal outcome was solid, I expected a bit more guidance on the process and clearer timelines from the outset. For straightforward legal matters where you need capable counsel, Amy is a good choice. If you're looking for a high-touch, hand-holding experience, you might need to set those expectations very clearly from the beginning. She knows her stuff in business law, but the overall client service felt just adequate.
