Competent but communication could improve

Amy J. Diaz handled my complex commercial real estate transaction, which benefited from her extensive 25-year background in real estate law—especially her time advising a national cooperative bank. She demonstrated strong technical expertise, particularly in structuring lease agreements and navigating zoning requirements, which aligned with her recognized real estate law credentials. However, while her legal advice was solid, the turnaround time for responses and follow-ups was longer than expected, given the urgency of certain deadlines. Additionally, while she explained legal concepts clearly, there were occasional delays in addressing my specific concerns. For a high-stakes transaction, timelier communication would have been beneficial. Overall, her knowledge and experience were evident, but I’d recommend setting clear expectations on availability early in the process.
