Susan Ramirez
I hired Amanda Schnepp at Parker Highlander PLLC to assist with a patent application for a new medical device component. Her background in Life Sciences and the recognition she's received in Patent Law were the primary reasons for my choice. Technically, the work product was solid. She demonstrated a clear understanding of the USPTO requirements and her drafting was precise, which gave me confidence in the foundational aspects of the filing. However, the experience was mixed on the service side. There were several instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get status updates, and responses to emails were sometimes delayed by several business days. For a process as detail-oriented and time-sensitive as a patent application, more proactive communication would have been appreciated. While I believe the application she prepared is strong, the overall client management felt a bit disjointed for someone building their practice. She is undoubtedly knowledgeable, especially for an attorney with her level of experience, but the administrative follow-through didn't quite match the technical competency. The outcome was acceptable, but the process could have been smoother.
