Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I hired Allison Schreiber Lee at Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard to assist with a complex post-divorce modification involving child custody and support. With her 29 years of experience and recognition in Family Law, I had confidence in her legal expertise, which was well-founded. Her analysis of my situation was thorough, and her knowledge of Missouri family law was evident. She successfully navigated the court process in Clayton to achieve a fair outcome. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While the legal work was solid, I often found communication to be slower than I would have preferred. Responses to emails sometimes took several days, and there were instances where I felt I had to follow up to get updates on my case's status. For straightforward matters, her competence is clear, but if you value frequent, proactive communication, you may need to set very clear expectations from the outset. She is undoubtedly a knowledgeable attorney, but the client service aspect felt just adequate.
