I hired Alison Cayton from Manning, Fulton & Skinner to assist with a commercial property refinancing. Her background in commercial finance and real estate law was evident, and her recognition by Best Lawyers gave me confidence. She handled the core legal work competently, and the transaction closed successfully. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. There were periods where responses to emails took several days, and at times I felt I had to follow up to get updates on the process. While I appreciate her expertise from UNC Chapel Hill and her seven years of experience, the client service aspect didn't quite match the legal proficiency. She is a capable attorney for the technical work, but managing client expectations could be improved.
