Competent but room for improvement

Alexandra C. Colby handled a complex construction litigation matter for me, and while her expertise in the field is evident—she’s been recognized by Best Lawyers after all—there were some areas that left me feeling neutral. Her knowledge of construction law was thorough, and she clearly understood the nuances of my case. However, communication could have been more consistent. I often had to follow up to get updates, and the response times were sometimes longer than I’d hoped. The outcome was favorable, but the process felt a bit impersonal. If you need a lawyer with strong construction litigatin skills, she’s capable, but don’t expect constant hand-holding. Adequate, but not outstanding in client service.
