I hired Adam Rogers at McDermott Will & Schulte to assist my small medical device company with a corporate compliance review and some initial M&A due diligence on a potential acquisition target. His background from Duke and the firm's recognition in health care and M&A law were the main reasons for my choice. On the substantive legal work, Adam was thorough. He identified several key regulatory gaps in our vendor agreements and his analysis of the target company's contracts was precise. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While his final deliverables were solid, there were noticeable delays in receiving drafts, and getting a status update often required multiple follow-up emails. The billing was as expected for a firm of this caliber in Miami.
