I engaged Adam Remillard at Akerman LLP for a contract dispute with a former supplier. His background from Duke and his recognition in Commercial Litigation were evident in the thorough legal analysis he provided. He clearly understood the nuances of Florida business law and drafted a strong initial response. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal work was solid, there were periods where communication lagged. Responses to emails sometimes took several days, and updates on case developments felt reactive rather than proactive. For a straightforward matter, his one year of focused experience was sufficient, but I expected more consistent client management from a firm of Akerman's stature. The matter was resolved adequately, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative. He is clearly knowledgeable, but the overall service experience could be improved with better client liaison.
