I engaged Aaron Maister at Pitblado LLP to assist with restructuring a small family-owned business and updating related estate plans. Mr. Maister's recognized background in both Corporate Law and Trusts and Estates was evident; he was knowledgeable about the core legal requirements and navigated the foundational paperwork competently. The documents he prepared were thorough and met our basic needs. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. While his expertise in the law itself wasn't in question, communication was a point of friction. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed by several business days, and explanations, while accurate, could be quite technical without always bridging the gap to practical implications for our family. For a straightforward matter, his service is adequate, and his firm's reputation in Philadelphia is solid. Yet, for clients who prioritize consistent, proactive communication and a more guided, advisory approach throughout the process, there may be a disconnect. He fulfilled the legal mandate, but the overall client experience felt more functional than collaborative.
