Competent real estate attorney, but communication could improve

We hired Mr. Martinson to handle the legal aspects of a commercial property purchase in Huntsville. With his decades of experience and recent Lawyer of the Year recognition in real estate, we felt confident in his technical expertise, and the closing documents were handled correctly. However, the process felt somewhat transactional. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed by several days, and we didn't always feel proactively updated on next steps. For a straightforward real estate matter, his knowledge from Samford University and his long tenure at Martinson & Beason served the basic legal need, though the client service experience was merely adequate.
